LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019) – Dignity Health Sports Park’s ASCSC Community Foundation and LA Galaxy Foundation will host the 16^th Annual Thanksgiving Foundations' Feast at Dignity Health Sports Park’s American Express Stadium Club on Friday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. PT.

 

As part of the event, LA Galaxy players as well as staff from both the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park will help serve a complete Thanksgiving meal to 250 local children and families in need. An annual tradition at Dignity Health Sports Park since 2003, this year’s event will feature the serving of a full Thanksgiving buffet, including turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings. Arts & crafts, activities, and gift bags will also be provided.

 

The Foundations will host families from Children’s Institute, Los Angeles Children and Family Services, The Salvation Army Red Shield, Koinonia Family Services, El Nido Family Services.

 

This year’s Thanksgiving Foundations’ Feast is made possible by donations from the LA Galaxy, Dignity Health Sports Park, XFL LA Wildcats, Levy Restaurants, Coca-Cola, Bristol Farms, Marie Callender's, Melissa’s Produce, West Coast Prime Meats, The Ralphs Grocery Co. and LAUSD Homeless Education Program.

 

The ASCSC Community Foundation will also partner with Food Finders to host a Food Drive for national “Giving Tuesday” and the US Marines Toys for Tots to host the annual Toy Drive. Non-perishables, toiletries, and toys will be collected in the Dignity Health Sports Park lobby starting “Giving Tuesday” December 3 through December 17 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. PT.

 

Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving to kick off the charitable season. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy.
