El Reto Águila kicks off Wed., Dec. 29; Guatemala arrives Sunday

CARSON, CALIFORNIA (Tues., Dec. 21, 2010) - In just over a week, The Home Depot Center will host El Reto Águila, a holiday soccer friendly featuring Mexican super club Club América against the National Team of Guatemala. Starting this year, El Reto Águila is an annual soccer match that will be played at The Home Depot Center prior to the start of the Mexican First Division season in which Club América will challenge an international team from around the world.

The winner of the match will be awarded the Reto Águila trophy, and in the case of a tie in regulation, the winner will be decided by penalty kicks.

Below is a list of the week's activities, starting with Guatemala's arrival this Sunday, Dec. 26. More details on each event will be sent out prior to the teams' arrivals this weekend.

Tickets for Reto Aguila start as low as $20, are available at Ticketmaster.com, homedepotcenter.com and at The Home Depot Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., by phone at 800-745-3000 and at all Tiendas. Tickets are available in the following categories; $20 endlines; $25 corners; $35 sidelines; $45 midfield; and $75 fieldside.
