KATIE DRUETZLER-PANDOLFO NAMED GENERAL MANAGER OF THE HOME DEPOT CENTER

Katie Druetzler-Pandolfo has been named General Manager of The Home Depot Center it was announced by Bob Newman, Chief Operating Officer of AEG Facilities, operators of the 125-acre multi-sport venue and training facility on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in Carson, California, built by AEG which opened in May 2003.
Pandolfo, who joined the staff of The Home Depot Center in March, 2004 as an Event Manager, also served for two years as Vice President, Events and Booking and Assistant General Manager of the venue for the past year. Pandolfo replaces Rod O'Connor who was recently named Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Pandolfo's responsibilities will include management of all event services and operations at The Home Depot Center, including development and programming, guest relations, financial management, contract negotiations, logistics, community relations, parking, marketing and public relations. She will also be the venue's primary contact with the faculty and administration of CSUDH, the City of Carson and the surrounding communities, as well as other statewide elected officials.

Named an Official U.S. Olympic Training site, The Home Depot Center is the only facility of its kind in the world. The facility boasts a 27,000-seat soccer stadium for soccer, concerts and other events; an 8,000-seat tennis stadium; 10,000-seat track & field facility; and a 2,450-seat indoor velodrome, the ADT Event Center. The development is home to the Los Angeles Galaxy and Club Deportivo (CD) Chivas USA of Major League Soccer.
In addition, the facility is the official home of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), United States Tennis Association's (USTA) High Performance Training Center, USA Cycling and the Athletes' Performance west coast training facilities. The David Beckham Academy for youth soccer and Agassi's Safe Passage All-Stars tennis program for at-risk youth, are also be based at the multi-sport facility.
Home to more than 100 events per year and one million guests per year, The Home Depot Center will host the annual East West Bank Classic (women's tennis tournament) for the fifth consecutive season August 3-9. Other events planned for summer include the return of ESPN's Summer X Games August 1-2, all regular season Galaxy and Chivas USA MLS home games, international soccer friendlies and the inaugural season of the Los Angeles Sol (Women's Professional Soccer).
Prior to joining The Home Depot Center, Pandolfo was an Event Operations Manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
