Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a world class finish as Arsenal defeated Chivas de Guadalajara 3-1 at StubHub Center on Sunday.
Rob Holding, Oxlade-Chamberlin and Chuba Akpom scored for the Gunners in their second victory of their American tour. Angel Zaldivar tallied the lone goal for the Liga MX side midway through the second half.
The Gunners took the lead in the 34th minute when Calum Chambers crossed a perfectly weighted ball toward Holding, who tapped it into the Chivas goal for his first career goal with Arsenal. Arsenal doubled their lead in spectacular fashion in the 50th minute when Oxlade-Chamberlin beat several Chivas defenders and coolly launched a shot into the far left corner.
Just six minutes later, Akpom gave Arsenal their third when he calmly directed Mathieu Debuchy cross into the net from inside the six-yard box. Zaldivar denied Arsenal the shutout in the 73rd minute when he placed a penalty kick past the Arsenal goalkeeper to give Chivas a consolation goal.
