Match Report: Club América defeats Pumas in front of sold-out crowd at StubHub Center, 1-0
On Saturday, StubHub Center saw a doozy as Club América defeated Pumas 1-0 in front of a sold-out crowd.
Club América scored the decisive and lone goal in the 27th minute when a errant back-pass was picked off by Ricardo Marin who calmly slotted the ball into the open net to put the Aguilas in the lead.
It was a tough game, with both sides seeing their fair share of chances in the second half. Pumas pushed hard for the equalizer and almost found it near the end of the game but Hugo González, Despite some close calls, both defenses held firm as Club América earned the victory.

This was the first time in history that the Mexico City derby was played in California. The friendly match was part of numerous celebrations surrounding the 100-year anniversary of Club América. With 12 Liga championships, Club América has the most titles in the history of Mexican soccer.
