Match Report: Paris Saint-Germain defeat Leicester City 4-0 at StubHub Center
Paris Saint-Germain defeated Leicester City, 4-0 in front of a packed crowd at StubHub Center on Saturday.
Edinson Cavani, Nanitamo Ikone, Lucas, and Odsonne Edouard scored for the reigning French champions in a dominating victory over the defending English title-winners. A sell-out crowd 25,667 flocked to StubHub Center for the international friendly.
Cavani opened the scoring in the 26th minute when he buried a penalty into the back of the Leicester net. Just before halftime, PSG doubled the lead after catching the Foxes on the counter, with the sequence ending in a goal by Ikone from close range.
Leicester attempted to break the Parisians' dominance in the second half, but PSG added a third in the 64th minute. The goal came when Maxwell delivered a cross to Lucas who headed it past Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Edouard rounded the scoring just moments before full time. The International Champions Cup returns to StubHub Center on Sunday when Chivas Guadalajara take on Arsenal FC.
