StubHub Center January Calendar
CARSON, Calif. (Friday, Jan. 8, 2016) – A full calendar of StubHub Center event times and information during January 2016 is outlined below. Any media interested covering an event below or receiving additional information can contact a member of the StubHub Center Communications Department.
STUBHUB CENTER – JANUARY 2016
Saturday, January 9 – XTREME ADVENTURES – Exotic Autocross Challenge
Based out of San Diego, XTREME ADVENTURES is a family owned business and operated by Daniel, Michel, & Alex Lombrozo, that provides opportunities to drive and race the world’s finest and most exotic cars. Xtreme Adventures will design a unique custom course at StubHub Center for participants to drive through using cars like the Porsche GT3, Lamborghini Gallardo LP-550, Ferrari F430 Spider and Ferrari 360 Modena.
Thursday, Jan. 14, 21, 28 – Carson Farmer’s Market
StubHub Center is the new home of the Carson Farmer’s Market, which will take place every Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. PT in Lot 13. The Carson Farmer’s Market, managed by LA City Farm, is free and open to the general public. The market offers fresh produce, quality food and various handcrafted items, including jewelry and other clothing, which will be available for purchase every Thursday. Prior to moving to the StubHub Center, the Carson Farmer’s Market was located at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall.
The Carson Farmer’s Market will be located at StubHub Center in Lot 13 with easy access off Victoria Street at Gate D.
Saturday, January 23 – NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is the premier post-season all-star game for draft-eligible college players. The week-long schedule provides participants with a first-class professional experience while introducing them to the business of the National Football League.
Founded in 2012, the annual game gives prospective NFL players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. In 2015, scouts from every NFL club and other professional leagues attended the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl’s practices and game. Nearly 200 NFL Scouts, Player Personnel Staff, GMs and Head Coaches not only watched the live practices and game but also conducted player interviews and reviewed tape.
Participants in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl have the unique opportunity to network with and learn from current and former NFL players. These veterans give players first-hand insight on what it takes to win on and off of the field.
NFL coaching legends Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz will serve as Head Coaches for the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Holmgren will coach the American Team and face Martz’s National Team.
Saturday, January 30 – LA Galaxy vs. FC Shirak
The LA Galaxy will face four-time Armenian Premier League champions FC Shirak on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at StubHub Center beginning at 7 p.m. PT as part of the Galaxy’s 2016 preseason campaign.
Fans can purchase tickets by clicking here, with individual tickets starting at just $20. All 2016 LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members will receive access to the match at StubHub Center on Jan. 30, which will not count as a STM Bonus Game.

Under head coach Vardan Bichakhchyan, Shirak are currently in third place (3-1-3, 21 points) through the first half of the 2015-16 Armenian Premier League season. They are led in goals by Armenian Davit Hakobyan and Ivorian Konan Odilon, who have each scored four goals during the campaign. Shirak, who won the 2013 Armenian Super Cup and reached the Second qualifying round of the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League, will appear in Los Angeles ahead of the start of the second half of their season, which is scheduled to being in early March.
The Galaxy will face FC Shirak for the second time in club history, recording a 2-1 win over the Armenian side in 2014 behind goals from forward Gyazi Zardes and former Galaxy striker Samuel at StubHub Center in front of a crowd of more than 12,000 to witness the preseason exhibition.
Sunday, January 31 – U.S. Men’s National Team vs. Iceland
StubHub Center will host a U.S. Men’s National Team friendly against Iceland on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 12:45 p.m. PT live on ESPN2, UniMás and UDN.
Tickets for the two matches at StubHub Center are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets to the match versus Iceland on Jan. 31 here. For the match against Canada Feb. 5, fans can purchase tickets here. Tickets are also available through www.stubhubcenter.com, by calling 1-888-929-7849, and at the StubHub Center ticket office (open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT). Groups of 20 or more can order through www.ussoccer.com. Ultimate Fan Tickets (special VIP packages that include a premium ticket, a custom-made official U.S. National Team jersey with name and number, VIP access to the field before and after the game, and other unique benefits) are also available exclusively through www.ussoccer.com.
This will be the first meeting between the United States and Iceland in more than 20 years, with the teams splitting the lifetime series with a 2-2-2 record dating back to 1955. The tiny island nation made history when they qualified for the 2016 European Championship, twice defeating 2014 World Cup bronze medalists Netherlands in qualifying as they finished second in their group and advanced to a major tournament for the first time.
