StubHub Center Monthly Calendar: August 2016
CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016) – The full calendar of StubHub Center event times and information during August 2016 is outlined below. Any media interested in covering an event below or receiving additional information can contact a member of the StubHub Center Communications Department.
August 4, 11, 25 – Carson Farmer’s Market
StubHub Center is the home of the Carson Farmer’s Market, which takes place every Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. PT in Lot 13. The Carson Farmer’s Market, managed by LA City Farm, is free and open to the general public. The market offers fresh produce, quality food and various handcrafted items, including jewelry and other clothing, which will be available for purchase every Thursday. Prior to moving to the StubHub Center, the Carson Farmer’s Market was located at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall.
The Carson Farmer’s Market is located at StubHub Center in Lot 13 with easy access off Victoria Street at Gate D.
August 5 – Pitch & Pale Summer Concert Series: Brasil Brazil & Daniel Bambaata Marley
Pitch & Pale is back for another amazing summer of fun-filled Friday nights. This month, Brasil Brazil & Daniel Bambaata Marley will perform in the third concert series of the summer. Join the first Friday of every month and enjoy dining at award winning food trucks, local craft beers and live music. Free parking and free entry, doors open at 5:00 p.m.
August 6 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Portland Timbers 2
In the second half of the season and battling for sole possession of the Western Conference’s top spot, Los Dos will play their only home game of August on Saturday, August 6 against Timbers 2 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. As the league’s leading scorers, LA Galaxy II are a highly entertaining side. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
August 7 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. New York Red Bulls
After a July in which the team was on absolute fire, LA Galaxy continue the climb to the top of the Western Conference in August starting with a home match against one of the Eastern Conference’s best sides, New York Red Bulls, on Sunday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m. PT (Fox Sports 1).

August 10 – U.S. Open Cup: LA Galaxy vs. FC Dallas
The Galaxy will face FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinal at 7:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, August 10 at StubHub Center. The Galaxy advanced to the Semifinal on July 20 after a 4-2 win over Seattle at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. Sebastian Lletget has been the star of the tournament for the Galaxy scoring four goals.

August 13 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Colorado Rapids
Neck-and-neck towards the top of the Western Conference standings, LA Galaxy will play host to U.S. Men’s National Team’s Jermaine Jones and Tim Howard and their Colorado Rapids side at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 13 at StubHub Center.

August 18-21 – Feria Chapina 2016 & Gran Pabellon
Join the festivities of Feria Chapina 2016 as this event brings the best of every Central American country. There is art, gastronomy, local food, live music and culture to create memories and bring Central American culture to your backyard.
August 26 – NCAA Men’s Soccer Classic: UCLA vs. Maryland
Two of collegiate men’s soccer biggest names are set to square off at StubHub Center in one of their first matches of the season.
August 27 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
LA Galaxy will face off against Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the third time of the 2016 season when they meet at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, August 27 at StubHub Center. In their first matchup of the season on April 2 in Vancouver, both teams played to a scoreless draw. They next met on July 4 at StubHub Center when LA defeated the Canadian side 2-0.
