StubHub Center Monthly Calendar: June 2016
CARSON, Calif. (Friday, June 3, 2016) – The full calendar of StubHub Center event times and information during June 2016 is outlined below. Any media interested in covering an event below or receiving additional information can contact a member of the StubHub Center Communications Department.
June 9, 16, 23, 30 – Carson Farmer’s Market
StubHub Center is the home of the Carson Farmer’s Market, which takes place every Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. PT in Lot 13. The Carson Farmer’s Market, managed by LA City Farm, is free and open to the general public. The market offers fresh produce, quality food and various handcrafted items, including jewelry and other clothing, which will be available for purchase every Thursday. Prior to moving to the StubHub Center, the Carson Farmer’s Market was located at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall.
The Carson Farmer’s Market is located at StubHub Center in Lot 13 with easy access off Victoria Street at Gate D.
June 3 – Pitch & Pale
StubHub Center is set to host the first Pitch & Pale of 2016 Friday, June 3. Pitch & Pale, located at the Southeast corner of StubHub Center, is a local community gathering that features various food trucks, local drink options and live music on Friday nights.
Pitch & Pale at StubHub Center will have food trucks Chancho's Tacos, CJ’s Wings, Free Range LA, Greenspan's Grilled Cheese and My Father's BBQ at the event. Additionally, there will be local craft beers and other drinks specials available. Multiple activities will also be on site during the community event.
June 4 – WBC Super Featherweight World Championship: Vargas vs. Salido
Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas (23-0-1, 17 KOs), fresh from his Fight of the Year victory over Takashi Miura, will defend his WBC Super Featherweight World Title for the first time against fellow Mexican warrior and former three-time world champion Orlando “Siri” Salido (43-13-3, 30 KOs, 1 NC) in a 12-round Fight of the Year candidate televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark®. June 5 – Fourth Annual LA Galaxy 5K & Cozmo Family Fun
The fourth annual LA Galaxy 5K & Cozmo Family Fun Run presented by Herbalife Nutrition is set for Sunday, June 5, beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT. Walk up registration will be available on race day for $50.
All proceeds from the event benefit the LA Galaxy Foundation’s ongoing support of programs and initiatives that benefit youth in Los Angeles.
June 11 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC
The 2015 USL Western Conference Champion LA Galaxy II will square off against its Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the two team’s second regular season meeting of 2016 at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
June 14 – 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup: LA Galaxy vs. La Máquina
The LA Galaxy are set to host La Máquina at StubHub Center at 7:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday, June 14, in the fourth round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the longest-standing domestic tournament in the country.
Tickets for the match, which will feature free parking for all fans, are now on sale here, beginning at just $10.
June 22 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Colorado Rapids
The LA Galaxy and stars Steven Gerrard and Giovani dos Santos will face Western Conference foe Colorado Rapids, who currently are in first place in MLS Western Conference standings. The Galaxy will look for revenge as Colorado handed LA their first loss of 2016 in the two teams’ first contest, played on the road at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
June 24 – LA Galaxy II vs. Tulsa Roughnecks FC
LA Galaxy II face Tulsa Roughnecks FC in what will be the first meeting between the two sides this season, with the Friday-night kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
June 25 – ROC Race 5k
ROC Race is the original game show-inspired obstacle run featuring larger than life obstacles including the infamous Wrecking Balls, the world famous Jump Balls, and a finish line slide down The Hippo – a towering four-story tall waterslide. This is an untimed event open to everyone, from couch potatoes to track stars, ages 13 and up.
