StubHub Center Monthly Calendar: September 2016
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Friday, Sept. 2, 2016) – The full calendar of StubHub Center event times and information during September 2016 is outlined below. Any media interested in covering an event below or receiving additional information can contact a member of the StubHub Center Communications Department.
September 8, 15, 22, 29 – Carson Farmer’s Market
StubHub Center is the home of the Carson Farmer’s Market, which takes place every Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. PT in Lot 13. The Carson Farmer’s Market, managed by LA City Farm, is free and open to the general public. The market offers fresh produce, quality food and various handcrafted items, including jewelry and other clothing, which will be available for purchase every Thursday. Prior to moving to the StubHub Center, the Carson Farmer’s Market was located at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall.
The Carson Farmer’s Market is located at StubHub Center in Lot 13 with easy access off Victoria Street at Gate D.
September 2 – Pitch & Pale: The Alumni
The Pitch & Pale finale will kick off Labor Day weekend on Friday, Sept. 2. Hip Hop Legends Chubb Rock, Special Ed, Kwame’, Dana Dane and Monie Love will all be on one stage and YoYo School of Hip Hop kids will open the show. Enjoy dining at award winning food trucks, local craft beers and live music. Parking and entry to the event are free. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the event is open to all ages and is pet-friendly with a special dog area provided by Camp Run-A-Mutt.
September 3 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Columbus Crew SC
After going winless in the month of August, LA Galaxy return to StubHub Center looking to return to their winning ways when they take on Columbus Crew at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. The match will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.
Just eight points off the Supporters’ Shield with eight games left, the LA Galaxy are primed for a charge for the conference’s top spot.

September 10 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Sacramento Republic FC (Pups at the Park)
LA Galaxy II will face USL Western Conference rival Sacramento Republic FC for the third time of the season on Sept. 10. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed live at www.lagalaxy.com/2.
In addition to the match, LA Galaxy II will host its first-ever “Pups at the Park” night at StubHub Center. For Pups at the Park, fans will be able to bring their dogs into StubHub Center’s Track and Field stadium for $5, with all proceeds of those tickets going toward local animal organizations. September 11 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Orlando City SC
The LA Galaxy will host Orlando City SC and former Ballon d’Or winner Kaka at StubHub Center for the first time in club history at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11. The match will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1.
Orlando City SC won the first-ever meeting between the two sides just a year ago, but playing in Los Angeles is a different story.

September 14 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Rio Grande Valley FC
LA Galaxy II host Rio Grande Valley FC at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium for the first time of the 2016 season at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 14. In the two sides’ first meeting of the season, Los Dos defeated RGVFC 2-0 at RGV Toros Stadium on April 30. The match is the team’s second-to-last home game of the 2016 USL Regular Season. The match will be streamed live at www.lagalaxy.com/2.
LA Galaxy II is now offering the Endless Soccer Ticket Package for Los Dos’ three remaining home matches of the 2016 season. September 17 – We Are LA Family Music Festival
The inaugural We Are LA Family Music Festival is a collaborative day of music and interactive, educational family activities to be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA. We Are LA Family Festival aims to celebrate and engage the children and families in Los Angeles in a day-long family friendly music festival. Artists scheduled to perform are Kevin Costner & Modern West, Reluctant Apostles featuring Katey Sagal, singer/songwriter Rachel Platten whose iTunes chart-topping “Fight Song” was the anthem at the DNC Convention, YouTube sensation Jessica Sanchez, Ozokidz, presented by Ozomatli, Lisa Loeb, Lucky Diaz and The Family Jam Band, and Rhythm Child. Magician and comedian Justin Willman – the host of Cupcake Wars – will also mesmerize audiences. Kids can play ball with the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation, explore with Kidspace Children's Museum, kayak and fish with The National Park Service, face paint with Hollywood's makeup artists, visit with animals from Star Eco Station, enjoy toddler time with Mobile Play Patch, play field games and much, much more!
September 24 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Real Monarchs SLC
LA Galaxy II will play their last regular season home game of 2016 when they take on Real Monarchs SLC at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. The match will be streamed live at www.lagalaxy.com/2. It will be the two teams’ second meeting of the 2016 season. LA Galaxy II drew 3-3 with Real Monarchs SLC on the road back on April 2.

September 24 – ALA Boxing: Philippines vs. Mexico - Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes vs. Edgar Sosa
ALA boxing is back to the StubHub Center. The longest reigning Filipino world champion Donnie Nietes is moving up to flyweight to test the waters in a fight against former world champion Edgar Sosa, the 36 year old Mexican veteran who is ranked No. 4 by the World Boxing Council.
September 25 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders FC
LA Galaxy will host Western Conference rival Seattle Sounders FC for the first time of the 2016 season when the Cascadian side travels to face LA Galaxy at 1:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 25. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN.
