StubHub Center to host a 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group B doubleheader featuring Costa Rica on July 8
CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, December 16, 2014) – StubHub Center will welcome the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, hosting a Group B round doubleheader – featuring the Costa Rica National Team – on July 8. The complete groups and schedule, including selection of dates and matches for the knockout round and the awarding of the Final, will be announced in 2015.

Besides serving as the home of the five time MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy since 2003, the StubHub Center is also the national team training headquarters for the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). StubHub Center features a 27,000-seat stadium for soccer, football and other athletic competitions and outdoor concerts; an 8,000-seat tennis stadium; a 2,000-seat facility for track & field and a 2,450-seat indoor Velodrome – the VELO Sports Center – for track cycling.
StubHub Center hosted the 2003 MLS All-Star Game and the MLS Cup in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. In addition, the venue was the site for the 2003 Women’s FIFA World Cup Final and has been a CONCACAF Gold Cup venue in four occasions (2005, 2007, 2009, 2011). StubHub Center has also hosted major soccer tournaments, including InterLiga, SuperLiga, and international soccer friendlies. StubHub Center is also home of the United States Tennis Association’s (USTA) High Performance Training Center and EXOS, an international training center for elite and professional athletes.
Taking place every two years, the Gold Cup is the official national team championship of the region, routinely drawing capacity crowds and millions of viewers across the region. Featuring the best players from the confederation, the tournament includes the region’s current top 12 national teams.
