RETO AGUILA BRINGS CLUB AMERICA BACK TO CARSON DEC. 29: Club America returns to Carson on Wed., Dec. 29 when they match up against the Guatemalan National Team in \"Reto Aguila,\" a holiday friendly at The Home Depot Center. This match marks the first time the teams have played each other on U.S. soil, and will be the teams' warm-up for the 2011 season. Tickets start as low as $20 and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster by phone (800-745-3000), homedepotcenter.com and at The Home Depot Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are available at $20 (endlines), $25 (corners), $35 (sidelines), $45 (midfield) and $75 (fieldside). CIF STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP BOWL GAMES NEXT WEEKEND: The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) will crown high school football state champions next Fri., Dec. 17 and Sat., Dec. 18 at The Home Depot Center. A team from Northern California will face a team from Southern California in each of five divisions. Games times on Friday are 4 p.m. (Division IV); and 7:30 p.m. (Division I). Saturday's schedule is 12 p.m. (Division III), 3:30 p.m. (Division II); and 7:30 p.m. (Open Division). Team selections will be announced this Sun., Dec. 12, and coaches will be made available for interviews on 'Media Monday' at The Home Depot Center. Tickets for the Bowl Games are $15 for adults and $8 for high school students (with ASB card), children and seniors. A separate ticket is required for each day. All seats are general admission. Tickets can be purchased at The Home Depot Center Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets or www.ticketmaster.com . Other game-day events include the UCA/UDA State High School Cheerleading and Dance Championships and the CIF/NIKE Football Coaches Clinic. U.S. MEN'S NATIONAL TEAM TO HOST CHILE IN JANUARY: The U.S. Men's National Team will host Chile in their first match of 2011 on Sun., Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. at The Home Depot Center. Tickets are on sale now, and start as low as $18 at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com Ticketmaster by phone (800-745-3000), homedepotcenter.com and at The Home Depot Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This match will be the ninth time the two teams have met in their history, with the U.S. winning the last three contests, including a 2-1 win in their opening match of the 1995 Copa America in which the U.S. finished fourth. U.S. WNT WINTER CAMPS IN CARSON: The U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team will hold a training camp at The Home Depot Center from Dec. 12-19 in the final event of the year for the U.S. Women's National Team programs. The 23-player camp will feature some of the top college players in the United States as well as numerous professional players from the ranks of Women's Professional Soccer. Meanwhile, the U.S. Women's National Team recently qualified for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup after defeating Italy, 2-0, on aggregate over a two-game series. The USA will face Korea DPR, Colombia and Sweden in Group C. The Americans open Group C play against Korea DPR on June 28 in Dresden at the Rudolf-Harbig Stadium on the third match day of the tournament, face Colombia in Sinsheim on July 2 at the Rhein Neckar Arena and finish group play against Sweden on July 6 at the FIFA Women's World Cup Stadium Wolfsburg. The U.S. women will come together for a week of training camp in Carson on Jan. 8 before U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage chooses a roster to attend the 2011 Four Nations Tournament in China later during the month. GALAXY LOOK AHEAD TO 2011 SEASON: After winning the Supporters' Shield for the first time since 2002 last year, the LA Galaxy will look to repeat that feat and win their third MLS Cup in the upcoming 2011 MLS season. The season is scheduled to begin in March, with the Galaxy playing 34 regular season games, making it the longest regular season in league history. The Galaxy are scheduled to begin their preseason in mid-January, shortly after the club participates in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. The schedule for the club's upcoming preseason has not been finalized yet. CHIVAS USA CONTINUES PREPARATIONS FOR 2011 MLS SEASON: While December and January are the offseason for Chivas USA players, the rest of the organization continues to prepare for the rapidly approaching 2011 Major League Soccer regular season. Management continues its search for the club's new head coach, and the team will also see many players coming in and out of the organization. In January, Chivas USA will look to restock with young talent at the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, taking place on Jan. 13, 2011, in Baltimore. In late January, the Red-and-White will reconvene for preseason at The Home Depot Center as the team readies for the season to begin in March. VELODROME HOSTS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TRAINING: Both the U.S. and Canadian National track cycling teams have been holding weekly camps through the winter at The Home Depot Center. Monthly racing begins next month, featuring both the U.S. and Canada, as well as athletes from Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
