GALAXY IN POST-SEASON PUSH: The push for the MLS Cup is in full effect this month as the LA Galaxy host two games at The Home Depot Center. The Galaxy have not qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs since 2005, but they enter September in second place in the Western Conference and in line for one of the two guaranteed playoff berths that the conference receives. After enjoying their first weekend off since the end of March, the Galaxy return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 when they host FC Dallas at The Home Depot Center. The Galaxy enter the game, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m., having compiled a 7-1-2 record in their last 10 games and will look to keep their good form running against their Western Conference foe. One week later, LA is back at home when they host the lone Canadian team in MLS, Toronto FC. This game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 and will see the Galaxy try to complete the season sweep of TFC, having won 2-1 in June at BMO Field in Toronto. Prior to this game, the LA Galaxy Foundation will be hosting their annual food drive, at which the club will be collecting non-perishable food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank as part of Hunger Awareness Month. Tickets are on sale now for all 2009 LA Galaxy home games, with tickets starting at just $15.
